The UNís development agenda and the family


Early this week the United Nations General Assembly, meeting in New York, unanimously endorsed and adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Goals. Unlike the Milennium Deveopment Goals, which have guided international development effort for the past 15 years, Agenda 2030 was hammered out with the input of wide range of institutions and civil society groups.
